Ubi Casaubon. Probo eam interpretationem, quae Oromedontem esse montis nomen statuit. Videtur enim mons ille a Gigante ibi occiso et obruto sic esse dictus. Sane Oromedon Gigantis nomen est, apud Propert. l. 3. El. 8. v. 47.
Te duce vel Iovis arma canam, caeloque minantem
Coeum, et Phlegraeis Oromedonta iugis.
